
Duncan Campbell, current lead vocalist of reggae band UB40, is recouping in emergency clinic in the wake of enduring a stroke.
In an announcement, the Birmingham-based band said he was "at that point moving around" and approached fans for security during his recovery.
The band said they trusted he would make "a solid and quick recuperation" and that they would be back visiting one year from now.
Campbell, a previous expert spoon player, became lead vocalist of UB40 when his sibling Ali left the gathering in 2008.
Ali Campbell has since visited as a component of the breakaway gathering UB40 Featuring Ali, Astro and Mickey.
