A guide to every holiday movie that's televised this year: see the full schedule

Take hot cocoa! The holidays came early - as always when it comes to television. Lifetime, Hallmark Channel, Netflix and UPtv have all released holiday movie selections, bringing back some of their top stars and introducing new ones.

In September, Hallmark Channel announced its most diverse lineup, unveiling its first film with a gay couple storyline.

“Our festive table is bigger and more welcoming than ever. This year's films reflect our broadest view of talent, storytelling and families, including Christmas House, which follows a gay couple looking to adopt their first child, ”said Michelle Vicari, executive vice president of programming. “Our films are based on warmth and positivity, meaningful connections, family gatherings and seasonal traditions - a winning formula that we hope will bring our millions of viewers the much-needed frivolity and holiday spirit at the end of a difficult year.”

The diversity extends to other networks as well. In Lifetime, the real-life married couple Ben Lewis and Blake Lee will star in the upcoming movie Christmas Decorations, the first film to feature an LGBTQ storyline at the center.

Plus 2020 is the year of sequels! On Netflix, Vanessa Hudgens will be returning for a second install of The Princess Switch, this time titled Switched Again. Later, during the holiday season, Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn return to shoot the second film, The Christmas Chronicles.
