Bromance of Matt Damon and Ben Affleck over the years
A bromance worth celebrating! Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have proven over the years that no one loves friendship the way they do.
Childhood friends grew up together in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where they became loyal friends when Damon was 10 and Affleck was 8. The couple have since become major movie stars. They worked together on several projects including School Ties, The Battle of Shaker Heights, and Field of Dreams.
When we wrote the Oscar-winning screenplay for the 1997 Good Will Hunting, longtime friends were roommates. “We rented this house on the beach in Venice, and 800 people came to us, stopped and got drunk,” Affleck previously reported, according to Forbes.
“Then we ran out of money and had to rent an apartment. Everything was exciting, ”he continued. “So we lived in Glendale and Eagle Rock, and we lived in Hollywood, West Hollywood, Venice, at the Hollywood Bowl, everywhere. In some places we would have been thrown out, or we would have had to downgrade or downgrade depending on who had the money. "
