At Bachelor Nation, first impressions can go a long way.

The premiere of The Bachelor, which premiered in 2002, made the first impression on the fifth season of 2004. Having missed the first impression on the sixth season, it became the main premiere from the seventh season. However, the first evening rose played a big role in "Bachelorette Party".

DeAnna Pappas was the first host to select the first impression rose, Jesse Chinchak, during the 2008 Bachelorette Season 4 finale. Two years later, Ali Fedotovski became engaged to Roberto Martinez, who received the coveted rose in her season.

“If I was a bachelor, there would be no season ... [or] there would be a season, and all this time there would be Frank [Neuschefer] and Roberto,” Ali recalled in an interview with Us Weekly: “Here for the right reasons” in August 2020. "I knew the first night, it was Frank and Roberto for me, I knew this, this or that."

While the couple got engaged during the finale in August 2010, they split in November 2011. Rachel Lindsay, however, is an example of a leading woman who married the first rose of impressions.

“Men get carried away with fantasies about a woman that they will probably never be able to fulfill in real life ... it's very easy to do,” a bachelorette party for Season 13 in September 2020 told Us about why Bachelor has more success stories than Bachelor. “Women, I feel like we're pulling our heads out of the cloud a little bit and saying, 'Who can make sense in real life? “And I think that's why you've done better with women, because we take that into account. ...
