Stars who hate pumpkin spices or pumpkin-flavored foods
Not everyone is a fan of pumpkin dishes! While it seems nearly impossible to avoid the fall favorite when fall comes, there are a handful of celebrities and celebrity chefs who just don't like the "all pumpkins for all time" mentality.
One of the first celebrities to speak out against the seasonal pumpkin craze was Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, John Oliver.
In a web exclusive released in October 2014, the Briton spent over three minutes criticizing the well-known American trend. “Pumpkin spice seems to be becoming more ubiquitous every year, even though there is no real pumpkin in drinks,” he joked after targeting pumpkin-flavored caffeinated drinks.

Oliver was also amazed to learn that every American eats more than five pounds of pumpkin a year, which he reckons is "more than the number of pumpkin in five pumpkin pies." He joked that these statistics are "even crazier than the fact that we supposedly swallow eight spiders in our lifetime."
Oliver added in his segment that the pumpkin spice obsession is actually based on the love of fall. “Pumpkin spice is just an egg head for matinees,” he said. “And I will no longer submit to his tyranny. It all ends here! "
The late Anthony Bourdain was equally loud in his hatred of pumpkin products. During a Reddit AMA in 2016, the author of Kitchen Confidential responded sharply when asked about a quirk. “I wish the pumpkin spice craze would drown in its own blood,” he replied. "Fast."
